Newborn Baby Boy In Studio Session
I am obsessed with these baby rolls and tiny toes! A baby in slumber is one of the sweetest gifts we receive as parents. It gives us an opportunity to soak in all those amazing newborn features and breath in their glorious smell. Baby C was as sleepy as can be, so I took my time capturing all of his delicate features. These details are some of my favorites- they change so quickly that it’s hard to recall just how tiny they once were as they grow.
Your baby may not sleep for their newborn session. And if they don’t, that’s okay! But if they do, that’s okay too! No two babies are alike and schedules vary widely for each family. I’ll provide guidance to help wear them out, but don’t stress about it. Every little stretch, hiccup, waking moment and movement is beautiful.
While I don’t encourage the use of props, when it comes to newborns, I want to ensure they’re comfortable. In addition to keeping the studio at a comfortable “newborn temperate,” I keep Muslin blankets on hand. They’re one of my favorite “props” for a newborn session – you can’t go wrong with classic, gender neutral white. But I also love this soft taupe (as well as a smokey grey) hue. It was a beautiful contrast to baby C’s fresh, pink skin!
